The former ambassadors' discussion program was completed under the coordination of former Foreign Minister and former Ambassador to China, Mr. Mahendra Pandey.
The discussion was organized with the objective of establishing a place to discuss, study, and research Nepal's foreign policy, the development models adopted by the concerned countries, the state of economic and social transformation, the issues that Nepal should learn from them, the policies that Nepal should adopt after upgrading from an underdeveloped state to a developing country, etc., and to suggest policy decisions to the government, to obtain necessary suggestions through discussions and dialogue with the concerned parties, and to form ideas through discussions with former ambassadors. The participating former ambassadors emphasized the need to organize continuous discussions in the coming days to use the knowledge they have acquired in the national interest. It is believed that such an exercise will positively contribute to the country's foreign policy and foreign relations.
The discussion was also attended by Madan Bhandari Foundation Chairperson - Usha Kiran Bhandari, Secretary - Pemba Lama, members Meena Bhandari and Milan Dharel.
