The eighth series of the ‘Madan Bhandari Discussion Program’

As the keynote speaker in the eighth series of the ‘Madan Bhandari Discussion Program’ organized by the Madan Bhandari Foundation in Kathmandu today, Tulsi Lal Amatya Memorial Foundation Chairman and former Minister Gopal Shakya shared his decades-long experience and insights of collaboration with Madan Bhandari since his first meeting with him among the program participants.

Shakya, who has collaborated with Madan Bhandari for a long time since the formation of the then CPN (ML), mentioned that Madan Bhandari was able to win everyone’s hearts and become a leader of all of us as the General Secretary of the CPN (ML) and CPN (UML). Similarly, he mentioned that he was established as the most influential leader in national politics due to his inherent qualities such as respect for senior leaders, simple life and high thinking, unwavering support for the working class, and firm stance towards nationalism.

Keynote speaker Shakya said, “Madan Bhandari had the ability to unite a large crowd of people in his views. He did not reach the leadership by forming any factions, but rather by winning the hearts of everyone, showing his ability, and proving his superiority. He established himself as a ‘people’s leader’ by proving his superiority among the people as well.” Keynote speaker Shakya reviewed the achievements and shortcomings achieved so far in the implementation of the people’s multi-party democracy and emphasized the need to further develop it as a guiding principle for the socialist revolution.

The Madan Bhandari Foundation has been organizing discussion programs with various personalities who have closely collaborated with the people's leader Madan Bhandari on the personality of the people's leader and the guiding principles of the Nepali revolution propounded by him, including the promotion, development, and implementation of the people's multi-party democracy.
