
The district meeting of the Madan Bhandari Foundation Parbat, formed to institutionalize the multi-party democracy of the people represented by Madan Bhandari, has concluded.
The meeting has elected a 24-member working committee. Representatives from 7 local levels participated in the district meeting held at Modi Sabha Hall in Modi Rural Municipality, Parbat. Acting Secretary Devendra Raj Pandey informed that the meeting has formed a 24-member working committee for the next 3 years.
The members of the newly formed working committee are Devendra Raj Pandey, Shiva Poudel, Junadevi Nepali, Tej Bahadur Chhetri, Ganesh Giri, Kishor Sapkota, Chandrakala Sunar, Pradeep Bhusal, Jagat Bahadur Kunwar, Lal Bahadur Thapa, Nilakantha Subedi, Anita Regmi, Harkaman Gurung.
Similarly, other members include Laxmi BK, Binod Thapa, Sharmila Nepali, Deepak Sharma Lamichhane, Lekhnath Adhikari, Ek Bahadur Hamal, Chandi Prasad Bhurtel, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Khobnath Gyawali, Om Prasad Kunwar and Kedarnath Poudeyal.
The first meeting of the newly formed working committee has concluded with the district gathering to elect office bearers. It is said that the working committee will elect 3 more members to the total 27-member working committee. As the chief guest of the district gathering of the foundation, CPN-UML central member and Gandaki Province Committee Secretary Govinda Nepali expressed his views on the issue of Jawaj and UML.
At the gathering, CPN-UML Province Committee members Bikash Lamsal, Manohar B Poudel, Meghnath Subedi, Prem Lamichhane, Hiradevi Sharma, Ram Giri Province Assembly member Junadevi Nepali, Mahashila Rural Municipality Chairman Raju Prasad Poudel and Party Deputy Secretary Govinda Pahadi also expressed their views on the issue of Jawaj.
The program, chaired by Foundation President Prem Poudel, was conducted by Secretary Devendra Raj Pandey and welcomed by Tej Prasad Chhetri.
